The credit-default swap i-Traxx Crossover index, which tracks the cost of protection on a portfolio of 50 weaker-rated names, was quoted at 299 basis points at 1040 GMT, 21.5 basis points lower than its opening level of 318/323. The index traded at 323.63 mid spread basis points at Thursday's close.
