The OECD cut its forecasts for 2008 economic growth in the US, euro zone and Japan in the wake of the correction in the US housing market and tensions in credit markets.The OECD trimmed its US 2008 GDP growth forecast to 2.0 pct from 2.5 pct.It lowered its projection for euro zone 2008 growth to 1.9 pct from 2.3 pct, and cut its 2008 forecast for Japan to 1.6 pct from 2.1 pct.
