Manufacturing PMI in Greece decreased to 48.6 in October from 49.2 in September of 2016. It was the second straight month of contraction and the lowest figure since May, as output and new orders fell amid a continued substantial drop in outstanding business.

Meanwhile, firms remained intent on adding to their payrolls, extending the current trend of job creation to five successive months. On the price front, cost pressures built further, yet goods producers maintained their current price cutting policies, although at a more subdued pace.

Manufacturing PMI in Greece averaged 45.89 from 2011 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 51.30 in February of 2014 and a record low of 30.20 in July of 2015. Manufacturing PMI in Greece is reported by Markit Economics.
