Wachovia, Honeywell, Google, McDonald's 3rd Quarter Results

  • Wachovia Net drops 10% on trading losses, writedowns
  • Wachovia third-quarter net income fell 10 percent to $1.69 billion, or 89 cents a share (analysts mean estimation was $1.04), from $1.88 billion, or $1.17, a year earlier.
  • Honeywell International Inc net income climbed to $618 million, or 81 cents a share, from $541 million, or 66 cents, a year earlier. The average of 15 analysts' estimates compiled by Bloomberg was for profit of 82 cents a share on revenue of $8.58 billion.
  • Honeywell increased its full-year sales forecast by $300 million, to $34.2 billion, and raised its earnings projection to $3.14 to $3.16 a share.
  • Google Inc. (GOOG US): Third-quarter profit excluding some items $3.91 a share. That topped the $3.78 average estimate of analysts in a Bloomberg survey. Shares rose $6.14 to $639.62 in regular trading yesterday.
  • Google reported revenues of $4.23 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, an increase of 57% compared to the third quarter of 2006 and an increase of 9% compared to the second quarter of 2007.
